Commissioning and Task Tuning

IoT Energy offers a service like no other since we are constantly attentive to the needs of our clients. Commissioning and Task Tuning is created for your comfort, convenience, and most of all, reliability and ease of use. The products and Smart Solutions of IoT Energy are improved for ultra-low power communication, permitting the use of self-powered wireless sensors and switches. Installations of the Smart Products could be done through a remote commissioning interface, settings such as thresholds, dimming levels, ramp speeds, task tuning, or timers can be changed wirelessly. While IoT Energy uses the remote commissioning tool an installer can locate wireless devices throughout the Smart building, reasonably connecting the controller to switches and sensors, and configuring settings in the controller over the cloud system completely without physical access, which is cost-effective and not time-consuming.

The life of a device begins during the manufacturing process, and because of the variety of areas such as HVAC, lighting, and security, a sensor is personalized for each specific task. “Commissioning” is the act of  building an integrated systems that can avoid mistakes in the operations of the Smart products, ensuring that the automation of communication and lighting control systems are full functioning and reliable in the cloud-based networking.

IoT Energy has developed procedures to commission and verify system performance. With verification data resulting from these procedures, IoT Energy holds the exceptional ability to measure and compare performance to design intent then discuss and tune system performance with the manufacturer prior to closure of the work scope and occupancy of the building. Hence, interoperability and interconnectivity between Smart Sensors placed around a building or facility is will run smoothly.

However, during the commissioning of a thing into network, it may be susceptible to spying, especially if operational keying materials, security parameters, or configuration settings, are exchanged in clear using a wireless medium.  After obtaining the keying material, the attacker might be able to recover the secret keys established between the communicating entities, thereby compromising the authenticity and confidentiality of the communication network, as well as the authenticity of commands and other traffic exchanged over this communication channel.  So, IoT Energy would provide a tighter security plans in order to avoid this during the commissioning services.

Task Tuning

Task tuning is one form of lighting control that can be used in commercial buildings to save energy. It involves dimming lights in a space so that the average illuminance at the working plane is appropriate for the type of use in that particular space.

Task tuning has the potential to save energy without decreasing occupant satisfaction because most commercial spaces, for a variety of reasons, are over lit. With more widespread adoption of dimmable ballasts and LED lighting there are many opportunities to apply this relatively simple efficiency measure.

It is therefore a practical, cost-effective lighting control strategy that can be implemented in tandem with other control strategies for dimmable lighting. As dimmable lighting, particularly intelligent LED lighting, becomes increasingly adopted task tuning may continue to gain traction as a means of producing energy savings in over-lighted spaces.
